On February 21st I gave you guys a homework assignment, sharing tips and mommy advice for present and future mommies. I want to thank all of those mommies who participated and made this post possible.

.) If you don’t have anything nice to say, it’s best not to say anything.

If you haven't got anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

.) Sometimes the best thing in my day is a smile or a hug from my child(ren)
.) While growing up, your main job in life is school and everything else is “butter.”
.) Even though everyone else has XYZ, that doesn’t mean you get XYZ, and just because you don’t get XYZ, doesn’t mean I love you any less.
.) “Please” and “thank you” and “I’m sorry” are the most powerful words in the English language when used correctly and at the right moments.

.) I love making my own baby food, my son had less then 6 jars of premade baby food. I made everything for him <Show off ~ Sandee>
.) In order to have friends, you first have to be a friend.
.) Romantic partners deserve to be treated with respect, and so do your elders, animals, and the environment.
.) Patience, understanding and ultimately love for all things
.) As a parent, try to be an example of all these things, because children learn more by example than all the words in the world.
.) Life can sometimes be disappointing, but it’s not the moments that define you, it’s how you deal with the moments that make you who you are.

.) Your child is going to learn to read. There is no point in stressing out about it when they are three.
.) Just because your child(ren) have grown out of playing with toys, doesn’t mean they no longer need to play. Just find a new game that interests you both.
.) Sometimes even kids need a “mental health” day
.) Lack of life experience does not make a child(ren)s concerns/fears/heartbreaks less valid than that of an adult
.)Remember that they are their own person & may not be exactly who we thought they would be. Yet, they are still perfect!

I know there are more of you out there with wisdom to share! Don’t be shy! Add it to the comments section here, or on the Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/motherhoodisbeautifulandotherlies
